Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before booking or using our services.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Victoria Garage Door website at victoriagaragedoor.com and any services provided by Victoria Garage Door ("we", "us", or "our") to you ("you" or "the customer"). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services

Victoria Garage Door provides garage door repair, installation, maintenance, and related services to residential and commercial customers in Hoppers Crossing and Melbourne's western suburbs, Victoria, Australia.

All services are subject to a site inspection and quote. We reserve the right to decline a job if conditions make it unsafe or impractical to complete the work.

2. Quotes and Pricing

  • All quotes are provided in Australian Dollars (AUD) inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.
  • Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
  • Verbal estimates are indicative only. Final pricing is confirmed in the written quote provided prior to work commencing.
  • We will not proceed with any work beyond the agreed scope without first obtaining your approval for any additional costs.
  • Price ranges shown on our website are indicative only and may vary depending on door type, brand, size, and site conditions.

3. Bookings and Cancellations

  • Bookings can be made by phone, email, or via our online contact form.
  • We request at least 4 hours' notice for cancellation or rescheduling of standard appointments. Failure to provide adequate notice may incur a cancellation fee.
  • Emergency call-outs are subject to availability and priority scheduling. Emergency rates apply outside of standard business hours.
  • We will make every effort to arrive within the agreed time window. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or other factors outside our control.

4. Payment

  • Payment is due upon completion of the work unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
  • We accept cash, bank transfer, and major credit/debit cards. Surcharges may apply to card payments.
  • Invoices that remain unpaid after 14 days may be subject to a late payment fee and referred to a debt collection agency. You will be liable for any reasonable recovery costs.

5. Warranty

  • Labour warranty: All workmanship is warranted for 12 months from the date of service. If a defect in our workmanship becomes apparent within this period, we will rectify it at no charge.
  • Parts warranty: Parts supplied by us are warranted for 90 days, except where the manufacturer provides a longer warranty, in which case the manufacturer's terms apply.
  • Warranties are void if the repaired equipment is tampered with, misused, or serviced by a third party after our work has been completed.
  • Warranties apply to the original customer and are not transferable.
  • Our warranty is in addition to any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have services re-supplied if they fail to be of acceptable quality. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term, that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any loss or damage arising from our services or use of our website is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to your property, garage door, or related structures that was not caused by our work.

8. Access to Property

You agree to provide safe and unobstructed access to the work area. You warrant that you are the property owner or have authority to authorise the works. We are not liable for damage caused by pre-existing structural deficiencies or hazardous conditions that were not disclosed to us prior to the job commencing.

9. Website Use

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not:

  • Use the site in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
  • Transmit unsolicited commercial communications.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its related systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our website for any user who breaches these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, and images — is the property of Victoria Garage Door or its licensors and is protected by Australian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.

11. Privacy

12. Changes to These Terms
